In 17 days, I will be competing in the biggest race of my life, the Toyota U.S. Open Triathlon.

What doesn’t kill you, makes you stronger, right? I’m gonna go with that theory. I’ve been working hard but it’s been tough. Although my achilles injury has healed, I still haven’t regained my running speed. Feeling your body not run as fast as it used to is hard. Really hard!

During a particularly rough week, one of my clients sent me a video. Attached to the video was this note: “I made this for you. I hope you like it. Just want you to know we love you.” It is one of the best gifts I’ve received.

This inspired me to keep going. Now, I take every pain-free day as a blessing. Who knows? Something amazing might happen on October 7th.

Triathlons are certainly not impossible…I have competed in over 100 of them myself, all while being a mom, career woman, wife. If you want something bad enough, and enjoy having fun while being competitive, you will rock it. Best of luck!

Angel, best of luck to you next month. I hope it’s televised. And few of us are as fast as we once were but I’m sure you still roll.
