Boy, does this ring true. When I’m doing a workout, the right song will have me burning all the calories. When I’m too much in my head, the right album will pull me out, into the present, with a head bop and a hip dip.

  • Teyana Taylor’s album. My favorite tracks are Rose in Harlem and Issues.
  • Daniel Caesar’s album. He makes me want to stare at the clouds while floating on my back in the middle of the ocean. My favorite track is Best Part, featuring H.E.R. This is the live version from his show in Jakarta where the crowd sang every lyric. Tears.

For Workouts Needs

And of course some classic 90s-2000s hip hop.
