1. The green smoothie I told you about is delicious. You can’t even taste the spinach. You must try it.
2. The next weekly challenge starts Monday the 12th.
3. My arms are tired.
4. The salad aspect of the challenge – well, a version of it – will appear on next week’s challenge. For those of you who don’t buy vegetables when you shop, consider this your heads up. This is heads up to everyone. The salad challenge will appear again.
5. Another challenge is coming this Friday. It is not exercise related but it will require work.
6. Starting next week, I will be awarding prizes to those of you who are showing outstanding effort.
7. Even though my arms are tired and every time I hit the floor I wonder if I will make it back up, I love this. I am dominating the salad challenge. 6 salads in and I feel great. I’m sleeping well and my mind is clear. I have so much more energy with all these extra greens going in body. I love me for doing this.

LMBO!!! I just re-read from my laptop, and you should be confused! I was in the car (not driving) with a headache. I just wanted to say SOMETHING so you knew I was still around. LOL. To sum it up, I was trying to say that I had 7.5 miles in—would have been 10 but we had a storm come through earlier in the week and I had to stop mid run. At the time, I had some 50 more push ups to do (yep, never finished them) and had eaten a total of 3 salads- “my personal extra credit goal”was 4 salads. Lastly, I need to get an email address for you (will send you a PM on Facebook). Kristin and I have talked about the 3 of us getting together to catch up one weekend and relive our Karaoke days in the Underground. GO HEELS!

I’m trying to get my food and exercise situation in check before we anticipate bambino #2. I want to be super healthy and stay on a healthy regimen this go round. I feel a little short this round, but I am ready for the next one.—

Lunges…done. Legs…sore! Push-ups done…no comment. Salads…eh, got halfway through with 4. I didn’t run anywhere except for the train because I’m always late. I’m still motivated to finish the 10 miles and eat more salads, I bought mad spinach yesterday!

Completed this portion of the challenge last night finishing up the last of the 200 pushups! My arms/chest feel so much stronger doing pushups now. Definitely going to try and keep up with them! Did all but the running portion and I feel like I could have at least given that a try. Excited for part 2!

Yep. It’s almost 8pm but I’m almost done I have 3 miles to put in the storm earlier this week had me ducking for cover mid run and I have some push ups to complete and I got in 4 salads as a little personal extra credit will be back later to update. I’ve eaten my last salad and completed all challenges. Believe it or not I was able do little extra . that’s a miracle guess that’s why GOd sent me an Angel. Hint I little corny but true. ? I’m ready to start my new challenge already bought my greens and veggies yum.

As of today (Saturday) I have completed 300 lunges, ran 12.5 miles and eaten 6 salads. From the lunges, my butt and thighs are soooo sore, but that’s a good thing.

Done with challenge. I felt really good until making carrot cake (whole grain and half the sugar and about as healthy as it can be but still, it’s cake) and then proceeding to eat half of it. Learned an important lesson about how bad eating half of a cake feels, and am now ready for the next challenge!

Done: 7 salads, 250 lunges, 150 pushups, and 4.75 miles. A bit more running left than I’d planned for, but manageable over the weekend. Either my legs are getting used to this, or (and this seems more likely) I’ve developed an immunity to the soreness. Thanks, Angel! (And my fellow Joy of Motion fitness break ladies!)

OMG my legs are solid as a rock seriously. I’m just now able to walk without feeling the pain. I’m 7 miles in, 160 lunges, 170 push up, and 6 salads in. feeling really good. Got stretch more tho. keep the challenge coming (i think… side eye)

I am halfway through the lunges, 5 salads down and 80 pushups to go. The pushups are by far the hardest thing for me. Everytime I drop down I say to myself “ugh, why didn’t you just do them on your knees!” but I don’t want to cheat myself. I did notice that on my last set last night I felt stronger and the soreness is fading. I have been very inactive and it feels great to get back in the game!

Oh, and every day I look in the mirror and talk to my behind…please grow!

Oh man, my arms and back hurt from the push ups. My legs are like rubber from the lunges. Reality of it all, I’m out of shape. I haven’t made it to the store for protein powder for the shake but I’m going tonight. Work has been crazy all week. I’m 200 on the lunges, 50 on the pushups. 2 salads…whomp whomp. I’ll be there by sunday, if not monday afternoon. Thanks Angel, I feel life in my bones.

My progress has been slow, but I’m still in it. So far, I’ve ran 3.5 miles and I’ve eaten 3 salads. The “no cheese” rule for the salads has been REALLY hard. I love cheese. ALOT.

Definitely sore, but not nearly as bad as I expected. I honestly expected to be crawling (painfully) at this point. Eating a nice mixed veggie medley and fish now, but curious about the breakfast smoothie. Overall, feeling good and love that I now have another excuse to be away from my desk for a couple more minutes (to secretly do lunges). Looking forward to what’s next.

My hamstrings have been consistently sore for the past 2 wks (yes, from you Angel – thanks girl) but I feel great and am really excited to see what else is coming 🙂

As a member of the north of 50 gang, I had put off having a colonoscopy too long. Wouldn’t you know it, I scheduled the procedure the week you start your new challenge. I was out of commission Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Well, I’m back baby. Thursday has seen 200 push-ups, 100 lunges, 4 miles and 2 salads. I’m tired but will finish by Sunday.

Call me crazy but I am so loving the challenge! I have only 40 pushups to go, 2.5 miles with 140 lunges left and surprisingly for me 6 salads left (that’s the easiest part right? lol) o but those lunges are KILLING me. I thought they would be easy. Not!!!! I’m so sore but hey I’m worth it. ? I’m excited about next week. I’ve always wanted a trainer now I have one . Thank you sooo much. I feel great and stronger.

I feel so much better when I’m doing the salads…if I add bread or potatoes at another meal, I pay for it! I’m 50 pushups and will finish 7 miles tonight. Plus, I have 3 salads down. Got to pick up some spinach to incorporate in the mix. I think I’ll get to work on that pushup goal at my next work break…Now the question is, office door open or closed? My co-workers will probably think I have lost it!

Mike is rocking the pushups…He is at 130. I am proud of him. Thanks Angel for the motivation but he has said to tell you that his WHOLE Upper body hurts. I am half way done with the salads but my legs hurt and I can’t do as many lunges as I thought I could. 🙁 I am only at 70 per leg.

My legs feel like lead! But I love it! I’m actually 5 salads in and I thought that was going to be the hard part. The suggestions for breakfast have helped me with that portion of the challenge. Of course I am still running,(not so hard for me) and doing the push ups,which surprisingly don’t have my arms feeling like rubber
r (I broke up the sets) . Feeling good and ready for the next challenge.
Haven’t checked my weight, but not really concerned with that, as the scale never moves for me anyway asthd

I haven’t started the running part yet (I know, I know *cries*) BUT while catchin up on DVR last night I did 50 pushups and 100 lunges! My arms hurt, but feel great (I’m so not an upper body strength kinda girl but I WANNA BE!!). Ready for whatever you throw at us Friday and goin shoppin this weekend for next week! Whoooo hoooooo. 150 pushups done as well as 200 lunges per leg = 50 pushups & 100 lunges per leg to go! Love the tip about breaking up the pushups – 10 here, 10 there – very helpful as I’m quite sore from my great workouts with my fabulous trainer 🙂 Butt, legs and back are sore (in a good way) & I love it!!

Loving the challenge and can’t wait to see what’s coming up on Friday. I’m now up to 4 salads…4 more to go. Push-ups – DONE. Only 100 more lunges and 6 more miles to go. I haven’t been tracking my weighty, but my pants (that had been getting tighter) feel great today and roomy :).

For me the exercising is the easy part. Got another 3 miles in for a total of six and another 100 lunges for a total of 200. The salads however is going to be challenging. Ate vegetable medly last night as my dinner/salad, for a total of 3 salads and gonna have a salad for lunch. Since the challenge, I’ve lost 3 lbs. Gone from 134 to 131. Which I think is quiet a few pounds in such a short amount of time, but I think it’s the salad as a meal and the change in my usual workout with all that running and the lunges. It seemed to have reved up my metabolism. Thanks Angel for this challenge. Didn’t mean to write a book here. 🙂
