It’s Day 2 of the 21 Day Fitness Jump Off challenge. Based on your comments, it’s clear that you know what your problems are. Some of you can’t put down the sweets, some of you are flaky, some of you are in an exercise rut. So what are you going to do about it?

I want you to take responsibility for the condition you are in and do better. Today, I want you to pick an action to start doing or stop doing. Here are some examples:

1. Today, I’m going to drink 70 oz of water.
2. Today, I’m not going eat any sweets unless they taste like Martha Stewart made them in her french bakery and I really want them. (Many of us eat because we’re bored or simply because it’s in front of us. Stop that.)
3. Today, I’m going to exercise no matter how late I get home for work or how sluggish I feel because I know I always feel better when I’m done plus if I don’t exercise today, Angel’s workout assignments will leave me cripple and walking like “whoa”.

What are you going to do today?

I want it! I was feeling sluggish this morning. But thought..I’m going to get my 2 mile jog in. Don’t care if I’m late for work, it has to get done. Glad I did it!

#1 and #3, check! (And although I ate something unhealthy for dinner, it was well within a healthy calorie range for the day and my day involved no sweets!)

@Jessie. OMG, that is my biggest problem. I never sit down to eat! I’m always standing up in the kitchen, or eating on my way somewhere. I’ve got to work on that. Look at you inspiring me. 😉

I was late also!!! Starting off on the wrong foot. I will increase my water intake tomorrow. Have to take baby steps because I don’t even drink 1 glass a day. (hanging my head in shame)

Today I put more effort into my meals. I took time preparing them, put them on a puurddy plate, and made a point of sitting down to eat. I reminded myself to eat slowly–enjoying every bite but also being aware of when I was getting full.

Today I got up and did 40 minutes of cardio even though when I woke up at 5:30 a.m. I felt like poo and really just wanted to stay in bed. If I don’t get up and do it before work, it ain’t happening. Also, I will not have any adult beverages tonight – not even one glass of wine, just water with ice.

Today I will NOT have a glass of wine after putting the baby to bed. I WILL do my 50 push-ups and 100 kettlebell swings even though I am mad I didn’t do them yesterday.

@Angie. So many people fall into this trap. They say, “I eat healthy, I don’t know why I gained wait.”. I, personally, don’t keep almonds in the house because I can’t keep my hand out of the bag. Then 1500 almond calories later, I’m wondering why I’m not America’s Next Top Model. Too much healthy food is still too much food. Thanks for reminding everyone.

I’m with you. I need to get my butt on a bike three times a week, doing at least an hour of consistent hill work each time. My biggest set back is that I don’t like cycling. When I’m in DC, I will hopefully be attending Angel Stone’s spin classes…SOON!!!!!! I also need to lose about 8 lbs. Portion control portion control portion control, and water water water!!!!!!

Portion control. A lot of times I’ll make decent food choices, but then I’ll eat enough to nourish a 250 lb man. Wuh wuh.

I already PR’ed my front squat today! I’m going to avoid eating crackers and cheese like the plague! Having my homemade paleo chicken soup for lunch today instead. And not drinking at all tonight!

I will do yoga today so I will have better long runs! Learned a hard lesson after a half, I have to crosstrain to feel great after 13 miles.

I will resist treats at work and home. Dessert, if needed, will be cutting up my pomegranate and munching on those yummy seeds. And ugh I was gonna take an off day, but you’ve inspired me to do at least something. The dress for my company holiday party this weekend wouldn’t mind me tending to abs and legs today 🙂

I will not eat sweets today (of any kind), no matter how tempting all the freshly made cookies are sitting in various spots throughout my office building. I will also workout tonight after work.
