It’s Day 6 of the 21 day fitness challenge. It’s Slim Saturday, a fitness assignment. I expect 100% adherence and tons of air kisses.

Day 6: Slim Sweat

Do 45-60 minutes of continuous physical activity.

Examples:
1. Walk. A purposeful arm-pumping walk. Not a “I parked my car at the far end of the Target parking lot” walk.
2. Swim. Taking a long bath does not count. Even if you are wearing goggles.
3. Run around the playground with the kids. Not to be confused with your kids running around the playground while you scroll through facebook status updates.
4. Yoga. Do a style that makes you work and sweat. Holding down dog in the sauna doth not count.

Do something that involves your whole body. Something that gets your heart pumping. Something that lets you know you are alive and well.

I only did spinning with this AMAZING instructor who has been recognized by Washingtonian Newpaper as THE BEST!!!

I played softball for an hour and a half, and stayed afterwards and shagged balls, took grounders for about 2 hours after the game. It was pure happiness.

Haha I would count preparing/holding Ella’s birthday party as my “slim sweat” except that I was eating bbq and cupcakes as I ran around soooooooo yeah. 🙁 Kazaxe is calling my name!

I fell behind on the challenges this weekend … now I’m playing catch up. This morning I did a 60 minute power walk on the treadmill.

Caught up with this in the morning playing tennis with my dad. I told him to play hard with me (he’s way better) so I have a nice calluses hand to show for it.

Done! A nice long run! Thanks for getting me back to running! Pavement wash burning and so were my muscles because I had to catch up on yesterday’s workout. Hooee! Burning thighs! That feeling of accomplishment. Sweat glands screaming! I love it!
