We’re on Day 4. It’s Thirsty Thursday, a nutrition challenge. This assignment will be easy for some, tough for others. Either way, try your best.

Day 4: Before & After 8pm

1. Drink. Half your body weight (ounces) in water. Tea and coffee don’t count towards your goal.
2. Eat. After 8pm, you can only eat vegetables and protein. That means no grains, sweets, etc.

Extra Credit: Avoid all processed foods for the day.

Tips:
1. Don’t wait until the evening to start drinking water – unless you want to be sleepwalking to the bathroom all night.
2. If you go out to dinner at 6pm and your dessert arrives at 7:59pm, you have one minute to eat it. Don’t let me catch you inhaling benigets (sp?).

If it’s too late for you to fulfill the challenge requirements by the time you see this, start the assignment first thing in the morning on Friday. Tomorrow is a fitness challenge.

Reminder: The big nutrition challenge begins Monday and lasts for 14 days.
The rules:
1. No junk food (soda, chips, brownies, candy, etc.), no fried food, no fast food, no alcohol.
2. Drink half your bodyweight (ounces) of water every day.
3. You are allowed one cheat day per week. You can eat or drink whatever you want. Indulge and make yourself happy. However, I suggest you avoid getting wasted or swallowing an entire pizza. You’ll feel awful (in the stomach) and guilty (in the head). Sip your wine slow, baby girl.
4. These rules apply from Day 8-21. For maximum results, follow the rules. If you choose not to stick to the rules, that is your choice. I’m not going to berate you. And you’re not going to complain to me about the results you aren’t getting. Deal?

I need help with the extra credit. I did it…but my meals today were sub par. All I had on hand were eggs, spinach, and apples, so yeah. I may or may not have eaten half a dozen eggs today. Anyone have suggestions, other than the obvious stuff that I just did not have? I’d like to do this again with more flavor and preparation at some point.

Ok – full disclosure you guys. I was feeling AWESOME from the clean diet and workouts, and totally messed that up last night. Beer, burger, bourbon – it all happened. I won’t beat myself up about it, and I enjoyed it in the moment, but it was NOT worth it. Suffering the consequences this morning. Just wanted to share because everyone is doing so well and working so hard – don’t ruin it with a HUGE cheat day. I guess I’ve got a really healthy weekend and week ahead of me! Good job, everyone! Took yesterday as a rest day and doubled up on baseline workout and nutrition challenge. Did not 100% go not processed- had one processed item. Other than that, success.

I’m a day late on yesterday’s baseline exercises but I just did my fastest timed mile ever! 9:58. My first time running in a year too….I HATE running.

15 real push-ups and 35 knees push ups. 52 jumping lunges (I think, got ADD and lost count of a few)

Ate all my water/protein/veggies, but not going to lie, had a bunch of gummy bears at work. Stupid candy bowl…

Yes it is super hot out but at my office its probably barely 65 and I wear a sweater and my hands/feet are still freezing! I go outside at lunch to warm up.

I made your crazy ass awesome broccoli and I’ve had 50 ounces of water so far. I am eating nutritious tonight with ease and I think I need to put myself to bed at 9pm so I don’t get cra cra in the kitchen. But that means I’m up at 6!!. Hey Angel, could you post these in the AM -like uber early? Something tells me that if I click on you at 7am, like a moth to a flame you will be in my heart and thoughts ALL DAY LONG and that’s when I like to do my workouts too. If that’s not possible I understand!

I’m going to have to do the extra credit tomorrow…The pb&j that I brought to work for my lunch was consumed at 930 am. Yes, I am a mess and I know it. Otherwise, I’m in for today! Oh, and all of these posts always make me laugh when I’m supposed to be sitting somewhere being quiet.
