It’s the weekend, baby. We are almost done with the 21 Day Challenge. Enjoy every moment. And be good to yourself.

Day 13: Slim Sweat Saturday

Dancing With The Stars

Assignment: Do 45-60 minutes of continuous physical activity. What counts? If you are a stripper, an hour on the pole counts. If you are a classic, an hour of ballroom dancing counts. If you are a clubber, getting jiggy with a drink in your hand, doth not count.

Day 14: Soul Food Sunday

summer-grilling-recipes-Grilled-Portobello-Mushrooms

Assignment: Eat 4 cups of vegetables. Be creative. Throw tomatoes on those scrambled eggs. Snack on cucumbers and vinegar. Or try this detox salad. Be strategic. I wouldn’t recommend eating 4 cups of kale at dinner. You’ll go to bed bloated dreaming you’re in the amazon.

Have an amazing weekend. We’ve only got one more week.

Sunday: lots of veg consumed. Asparagus and a big arugula/cuke salad which was delicious.

Saturday: I don’t think treading water in the pool counts so I’m except size deficient this weekend 🙁
On the plus side, no alcohol and only a bite of husbnds pancakes at bunch :).

I have been eating a fair amount of broccoli since watching your video. I went grocery shopping Sunday, bought tons of f and v and now I’m going to the park to sweat it out. Bring it MONDAY!

A big veggie omelette for breakfast, a super boring side salad with my lunch (which was a slice of pizza), and salmon, greens, and baked sweet potato with cinnamon for dinner.

Did my hour of exercise today – 30 minutes walking the dog, 30 minutes on the treadmill, two sets of 20 push ups. Not sure I got the full four cups of vegetables today, but I was at least close. Today was my cheat day so I had a mediocre chocolate truffle and I made some salted caramel ice cream to enjoy before the final week 🙂

Ha! Ha! Good point Angel. Sunday, 5 miles on treadmill was completed this morning. Check.

Angel · 07/28/2013 at 8:24 am

@Nomi. Glad you laughed. That workout sounds awesome. Hill sprints are gamechangers.

Angel · 07/28/2013 at 8:23 am

@Michelle Doing great.

Angel · 07/28/2013 at 8:22 am

@Darlene. Technically, you can’t say “check” until it’s done. And it’s Sunday morning. So I’ll wait…. 🙂

This post cracked me up too. Hey, you gotta make your lifestyle work for you. Today was brutal fun, but not as brutal fun as 45 min of spinning with you was last week!

As a short distance athlete I struggled to fill up 45 min. I did a 1 mile hilly run, followed by 1 mile of striding/jogging around the track, followed by 15 hill sprints, followed by a half a mile of skipping 🙂 Legs feel like rubber and I blame it on the skipping. That mess was hard.

Tennis in the morning with the office mates, then a 4-mile dog run with some neighbors and their speedy furballs. Had loads of fun at both workouts.
